Devlog: The Grimoire Update (v1.0.2)

Greetings, Arch-Mages! 🧙‍♂️✨

We've been hard at work refining the arcane flows of the Mana Realm. This update focuses on clarity, strategy, and giving you more control over your ascent to godhood.

📖 The Spellbook & The Store

We've completely overhauled how you interact with Research and Magic.

  • Dual-View System: The Research tab has been split!
    • The Spellbook: A dedicated archive of your learned power. View your active spells, check their cooldowns, and admire your passive enchantments without the clutter of a store interface.
    • Ascension Store: A new, specialized modal that only appears when you Ascend. Use your hard-earned Research Points (RP) to unlock nodes in a visual skill tree.
  • Tactical Magic: Spells now have Mana Costs. Powerful effects like Time Warp are no longer free—ensure your mana reserves are sufficient before casting!
  • Clarity: Cooldowns now display in Minutes for long durations and switch to Seconds for the final countdown.

🔮 Ascension Mechanics (New Game+)

The path to power is a cycle.

  • The Attunement Bar: The prestige bar has been visually polished. It now perfectly contains its volatile energy (and respects the laws of geometry/border-radius).
  • RP Hoarding Bonus: Not sure what to buy? Hold onto your Research Points! Every unspent RP now grants a +1% Global Production Bonus. A mage with 100 spare RP is twice as powerful as one with none!

🛠️ Polish & Fixes

  • Visuals: Fixed several UI glitches where elements would clip or shake.
  • Performance: Optimized particle rendering for smoother gold/mana pops.
  • Tooltips: Enhanced descriptions for all spells and units.
